Architecture
Architecture has been an integral part of Robert and Company since the firm was
founded in 1917 by L.W. “Chip” Robert, Jr. Over the years, the firm has participated in a wide range of industrial,
institutional, military and municipal projects for clients including
General Electric, B.F. Goodrich, J.P. Stephens, Westinghouse, Goodyear Tire and
Rubber Company, and the Coca Cola Company. Notable projects that followed in the
intervening years range from Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport,
the Atlanta Civic Center, Callaway Gardens, Grady Memorial Hospital as well as projects
at Emory University, the Air Force Academy and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Currently, our Architectural Department has a combined staff of licensed architects,
LEED accredited professionals and CAD operators involved in design of U.S. Military
Operations Buildings, Airports, Amphitheaters, Park and Recreation Facilities,
Churches and Historic Preservation.
A notable force in the development of the southeast, the legacy of “Chip” Robert’s
direction continues today as Robert and Company has expanded into the global
