Electrical Engineer, PE

Robert and Company has an opening for an Electrical Engineer, PE. This includes the opportunity for near term advancement in addition to great exposure from our talented and experienced engineering staff in our Atlanta, GA office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The production of construction documents from initial design through construction administration under the supervision of the Electrical Department Manager.
  • Responsible for Electrical Design documentation.
  • Responsible for oversight of production team on specific projects
  • Lead multi-disciplinary team for electrically focused projects
  • Perform collaboration and coordination with other disciplines on all projects
  • Perform projects within established project budgets and schedules

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be detail-oriented and quality driven
  • Able to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and a functional level
  • Strong AutoCAD experience
  • Knowledge of NEC and IBC
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Hold a PE Registration

Preferred:

  • SKM experience
  • Revit experience
  • Cost estimating experience
  • Multi-discipline project management a plus

Professional Engineer - Project Manager

Due to growth in our Integrity Management Group, Robert and Company is seeking a Professional Engineer - Project Manager with 5 to 10 years' experience managing multi-discipline design/bid/ build and design/build projects.

Experience managing federal government projects with an emphasis on AFCEC, NAVFAC and Corps of Engineers is preferred. Must be willing to travel.

Candidate must have professional registration as a PE. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of API tank and pipeline inspection methods and experience managing a team that includes multiple subconsultants.

Urban Planner / Project Planner

Robert and Company is seeking an experienced Urban Planner / Project Planner to join our multidisciplinary planning, landscape architecture, architecture, and engineering practice in Atlanta.

This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience preparing planning analyses, written reports, maps, graphics, and public-facing deliverables for community planning, transportation, parks and recreation, downtown planning, corridor planning, and/or urban design projects.

The selected candidate should be comfortable working with a senior project manager while also taking ownership of assigned tasks, making sound planning judgments, organizing information clearly, and producing accurate, client-ready work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare planning studies, feasibility studies, existing conditions analyses, comprehensive plan elements, corridor assessments, trail and bicycle/pedestrian planning materials, downtown plans, park and recreation planning documents, and related reports.
  • Use GIS, field observations, adopted plans, demographic data, land use data, transportation data, and other sources to support defensible planning analysis.
  • Develop clear maps, diagrams, tables, exhibits, and written narratives that explain existing conditions, key findings, recommendations, and implementation considerations.
  • Translate project goals and client input into organized work products with limited day-to-day direction.
  • Support public engagement efforts, including meeting materials, presentation graphics, summaries, and documentation of public input.
  • Coordinate with landscape architects, architects, civil engineers, transportation planners, and other technical staff on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Participate in client meetings, internal coordination meetings, site visits, and field assessments.
  • Manage assigned tasks, track deadlines, communicate progress, and identify questions or issues early.
  • Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, project narratives, and planning-related business development efforts as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Urban Planning, City and Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Geography, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in planning, urban design, landscape architecture, transportation planning, parks and recreation planning, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing written planning documents, reports, memos, or plan sections.
  • Strong GIS skills, including map production, spatial analysis, and data organization.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain planning issues clearly and professionally.
  • Strong graphic communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear maps, diagrams, tables, and presentation materials.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while coordinating with senior staff and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, well-organized deliverables.
  • Experience with public-sector clients, community planning processes, public meetings, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States and able to pass Government background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

    AICP, PLA, or progress toward professional certification/licensure.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, Rhino, or other design/visualization tools.
  • Experience with transportation planning, bicycle and pedestrian planning, trail planning, parks planning, downtown planning, or comprehensive planning.
  • Experience preparing proposals, scopes, schedules, meeting summaries, or client-facing presentations.
  • Familiarity with Georgia planning processes, zoning and development codes, local government clients, MPOs, GDOT, or public-sector planning work.
